ON/OFF Button: When the UPS is on, press and release this button after one beep to
turn the UPS off.

LED Indicator: Provides current status of the UPS. For detailed description, see LED
Indicator for more information.

Battery Backup Outlets: These outlets offer battery backup support and premium surge
suppression for critical devices requiring battery backup support.

Surge-Only Outlets: These outlets offer premium surge suppression for additional
devices not requiring battery support.

USB Communication Port: This port can connect your UPS to a computer in order to
automatically save open files and shut down the computer if it is left unattended during
an extended power failure. Use with Tripp Lite's PowerAlert
USB cable. PowerAlert software can be obtained for free via the Web at www.tripplite.com.
A USB cable is included with your UPS. Download the software to your computer and
follow the installation instructions. Any user-supplied USB cable may be used to connect
your UPS to your computer.

• This connection is optional. The UPS will work properly without this connection.

Serial Communication Port (INTERNET350SER and INTERNET550SER Only): This
port can connect your UPS to a computer in order to automatically save open files and
shut down the computer if it is left unattended during an extended power failure. Use
with Tripp Lite's PowerAlert software and appropriate DB9 cable. PowerAlert software can
be obtained for free via the Web at www.tripplite.com. A DB9 cable is included with your
UPS. Download the software to your computer and follow the installation instructions.
