A. Place Batteries in the SmartDoor
Note:
The door must be in the upright postion
for the flap to center properly and operate
correctly.
1. With a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two Battery
Compartment Cover screws.
2. Remove the Battery Compartment Cover.
3. Refer to the inside of the Battery Compartment
Cover for the proper orientation of the four D-Cell
(LR20) batteries.
4. Replace the Battery Compartment Cover and
re-install the two screws.
5. When batteries are first placed in the SmartDoor
the red light will illuminate for two seconds and
the flap will move into the locked position (or into
LOCKED MODE which is the default factory setting
for the Operational Mode). Also the blue light will start blinking 2 times every 2 seconds
indicating the SmartDoor
Iris smart hub.
When replacing batteries, the red light will illuminate for two seconds and SmartDoor
remain in the last active Operational Mode. For example, if the SmartDoor
UNLOCKED MODE before replacing the batteries, it will remain in UNLOCKED MODE after
the batteries are changed.

B. Place Battery in the SmartKey
1. Place the PetSafe

2. Using a coin, rotate one-quarter turn clockwise to
secure the PetSafe
