3.4.8. Auto / Manual range

Autoranging is default status when the meter is powered on. User can push the
« AUTO » key to select desired mode. To switch back to automatic mode,
approximately keep the « AUTO » key depressed during 1 second.

3.4.9. Fuse detection

When the CPU detects that the signal
source protective fuse is open, the
« Fuse » Character will appear and an
internal beep will sound continuously. In
this situation, none of the function keys
can be operated and all other meter
functions will be discontinued. Fuse
replacement is required.

3.4.10. Parallel / Series Mode

The IX 3131B is capable of displaying Parallel and Series mode data for all ranges.
The parallel mode is default for Capacitance and Resistance measurements and the
series mode is default for Inductance measurement.
However, each data can be transformed to the other mode reading in the following
step. To get parallel mode data under the Inductance measurement, press the
« L / C / R » key for one second to enter the « SER » and « PAL » mode.
Following tables are shown which range is specified for application mode.
The " √ " means the ranges may use for Parallel and Series modes.
For " ◊ " means, the accuracy of ranges is specified for default measuring mode.
The dark areas are not provided on this meter.
