Check of the internal pick-up sensor (IN1)

The sensor is now assembled in the other position.
During appliance check, verify that:

the stand-by value is half-way on the reading scale;
+
by pushing the shaft downwards, the values
increases to end scale;

by lifting the shaft upwards, the value decreases to
zero.

The piezo-electric sensors are identical and to
distinguish them, during production, a red pick-up is
assembled on the outside and a black on the inside.
4.1.4

Pick-up replacement procedure

1. Remove the weights protection, the protection on
the left side and the front protection;
2. disconnect the action-centre;
3. loosen the two fastening screws (Fig. 12, A) located
underneath the measurement unit;
4. using a 17 mm spanner completely loosen the
special screw underneath the pick-up (Fig. 12, B);
5. remove the pick-up sensor;
6. position the two balls (Fig. 12, C - D) on the new
sensor, using a layer of grease to help keep them in
position;
7. position the pick-up;
8. using a 17 mm spanner tighten the special screw
(Fig. 12, A) so that it is possible to manually rotate
the sensor with a slight force;
9. bring the pick-up sensor cable on the external side
of the measurement unit;
10. using a 17 mm spanner tighten until the cable
rotates by 180° or using a dynamometric wrench
apply a 6N force.

Encoder

Indicates the function to directly check the step
counter (encoder): the number of spaces varies from
0 to 199.

The malfunctioning of the apparatus is automatically
detected by the program showing on the display "Err
10" or "Err 11".
By keeping the entry displayed on the board, check
which may be the cause of the fault to be able to
adequately solve the problem (see table below).
