Torch
• Clean welding spatter from the inside of the gas nozzles.
• Sharpen the tip of the tungsten electrode regularly. This improves ignition
qualities and the stability of the plasma column.
• Clean soiling or melt spatters from all fittings.
After a longer period without use, clean the corresponding gas supply line by
pressing the "Gas-test" button on the welding machine for some time.
Check the actual gas flow on the suspended solid particle instruments installed
or by closing and opening the appropriate gas outlet apertures on the torch.
Sharpening the tungsten electrode
Use a sharpening device with a diamond plate. The following principles
apply:
• The point is cut centred to the middle
axis.
• Automatic regulation of the tungsten
electrode by gravity.
• Diameter can be set for all electrodes.
• One-step adjustment of angle.
If the measures described below are not successful, please consult
your dealer or the manufacturer.
Please also consult the operating instructions for the welding compo-
nents, e.g. power supply, wire feeder, cooling unit, etc.
