Cleaning
For plasma welding, ensure that all the parameters are set at the
power supply for your welding task.
1. Ignite the pilot arc.
Once the pilot arc has been successfully ignited between the
tungsten cathode and the plasma nozzle, the high-frequency ignition
aid automatically switches off.
2. Hold the welding torch close to the work piece.
Maximum distance of 5 mm between the work piece and the
protective gas nozzle.
3. Ignite the main arc by depressing the switch element on the handle tube of
the torch.
Danger of injury due to hot torch parts and work pieces.
Removing from service
When you have finished welding:
1. Switch off the main current.
2. Switch off the pilot current.
3. Switch off the power supply.
4. Close the manual-valve for the gas supply.
Before carrying out cleaning, servicing and repair work or exchan-
ging parts, the following shut down procedure must be followed.
1. Switch off power supply
2. Close off gas supply
Make sure that this remains the case throughout the ent-
ire time you are servicing the machine.

Cable assembly

• Check the screw fittings and inserted connections to make sure they are
tight.
• Replace any damaged, deformed or worn parts or send them for repair.
Never blow compressed air into the nozzles from the front with the
torch connected. This can lead to soiling or even to the destruction of
the flow-meter in the welding power supply.
