Scan in a group master
fingerprint
Conditions:
• The group administrator finger
print has been read in.
• The LED lights up in green (oper
ating mode).
Procedure
• Draw the group administrator
fingerprint once over the sensor. The
green LED flashes for appr. 3 sec
onds then the red LED lights up.
• Draw the group master fingerprint
over the sensor.
The green LED flashes for appr.
3 seconds, after which the red LED
lights up.
• Draw the group master fingerprint
over the sensor again.
The green LED flashes appr. 3 sec
onds, then the red LED lights up.
• Draw the group master fingerprint
over the sensor a third time.
The green LED flashes for appr.
3 seconds, after which the green
LED lights up continuously.
The group master fingerprint has
now been scanned in and is valid.
If you wish to scan in additional
group masterfingerprints (max. 5),
repeat the above described proce
dure.
Or
If you now wish to go on to scan in
user fingerprints, jump to the section
"Scan in an user fingerprint".
Note
If a finger has been drawn over
the sensor and not recognized, the
red LED flashes for 3 seconds, after
which the red LED lights up continu
ously.
Repeat the scanningin process.
Delete mode
Restoring the as-delivered status
Electrical voltage
To set the required operating mode
(0 to 9), the FPM must be energized.
Procedure
(see Fig. 5 "Setting the operating
mode")
Turn the rotary switch to the 0, 2–4
or 6–8 position (delete mode).
Delete user fingerprints
Remarks
• Individual master and user finger
prints can not be deleted!
• Using the group administrator and
the administrator/group master and
master fingerprints, the user finger
prints can be deleted.
• The group master/master finger
print can delete the user fingerprints
of its group.
• The group administrator/admin
istrator fingerprint, by contrast,
can delete all user fingerprints of
all groups, while the group master
fingerprint/administrator fingerprint
are retained.
• In case of interruptions of more
than 5 seconds between the indi
vidual steps, the deletion process is
aborted. In this case, wait until the
green LED lights up continuously.
The deletion process can then be
started again from the beginning.
• The deletion process is also
aborted if an incorrect fingerprint is
read in.
Procedure
• Draw the master fingerprint/
administrator fingerprint once over
the sensor.
The green LED flashes.
• As soon as the red LED lights up
continuously, swipe the master
fingerprint/administrator fingerprint
over the sensor a second time. The
green LED flashes.
• As soon as the green LED lights
up continuously, swipe the master
fingerprint/administrator fingerprint
over the sensor a third time. Both
LEDs flash simultaneously.
• While the two LEDs are still
alight, draw the master fingerprint/
administrator fingerprint over the
sensor a fourth time. The green LED
flashes for appr. 3 seconds, then
stays alight.
The user fingerprints now have to be
read in again.
