2.5. Operating environment
The following conditions are necessary to provide longevity and flawless func-
tioning of the instrument.
• Operating temperature 0–50 °C
• Relative humidity: 90 %
• To ensure safe results, the instrument should not be stored in extremely dusty,
damp or wet conditions (the instrument optics are IP67 proof and don't experi-
ence any sustained damage from such conditions).
• Keep the instrument surface, cuvette slot and any accessories clean and dry.
Splashes or spilled substances should be wiped away and cleaned immedi-
ately (see 8. Cleaning the photometer, page 30)
Important note: Protect the instrument from extreme temperatures (e.g. radia-
tors, direct sun light and other heat sources)
3. Usage
Due to unauthorized changes and modifications to the instrument without prior
permission of authorized bodies, it is possible to revoke the users' operating
permission.
As part of GLP, please familiarize yourself with all reagents used in your ap-
plication. Read all product labels and MSDS before working with chemicals
To ensure proper functioning of all inbuilt safety measures, the instrument may,
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, be used or installed in a different way than
stated in the manual.
