7. TROUBLESHOOTING
1.
No current:
▪ Check that the unit is plugged in.
2.
Low reading on the chlorine meter:
▪ Insufficient salt in the swimming pool.
▪ Electrodes need cleaning.
▪ Electrodes worn.
3.
Residual chlorine in the pool is low:
▪ Chlorinator is not running long enough.
▪ The chlorine stabiliser level is low.
▪ The electrodes need cleaning.
▪ The pH is too high.
Note: If a low chlorine level is detected, the chlorinator can be checked
quickly by taking a water sample from the skimmer and checking the
chlorine level with the analysis kit. Then take a sample directly from one
of the outlets. The chlorine level at the outlet should be significantly higher
than that of the skimmer (at least 1%).
If the residual chlorine in the swimming pool is low, please check if:
a. The chlorinator is not running for a sufficient length of time.
b. The chlorine stabiliser level is low.
c. The cell needs cleaning.
d. The pH is high.
e. The salt level is low.
