Setting up the appliance
Place the kitchen scales on a level, non-slip surface.

This appliance is equipped with non-slip rubber feet. Furniture surfaces may
be made of a variety of materials and are treated with many different types
of cleaning agents. Therefore, it is not possible to entirely exclude the pos-
sibility that some of these materials contain substances that could corrode
and soften the appliance's rubber feet. If possible, place an anti-slip mat
under the feet of the appliance.
Operation
Weighing items
1) Press the on/off button
2) If you want to change the unit system, press the shift button for the unit
system on the rear of the scales
system (litres, millilitres) and the Anglo-American unit system (ounces, fluid
ounces).
3) If you wish to change the unit system, press the mode button
required unit system is shown in the display
4) Place the items to be weighed on the scale. The weight and the unit system
set are shown in the display
5) Read the weight. If you do not want to weigh any further items, remove the
weighed items from the scales.
6) If you want to add further items to be weighed, proceed as described in the
section "Adding further items (tare function)".
The appliance switches off automatically after around 2 minutes.
