2 INSTALLATION
Place the filter near the swimming pool, at a distance no less than 3.5 m. (for electric safety) and at a level lower than
the water level in the pool (Fig.1). The place should be flat and steady, and located in an area which is protected from
the sun, rain or possible blows.
The filter body can be installed on the motor base (Fig.2 a ) or next to it (Fig.2 b ).

2.1 HYDRAULIC CONNECTION

After the monobloc has been set into place, proceed as follows:
Turn the cover of the filter body clockwise until it has been released. Then, remove the cover (Fig. 10).
Verify that the filtering cartridge is located inside the filter body.
Use the appropriate clamps to connect the ø25 mm, 0.30m. length (discharge) hose between the pump outlet and the
lower inlet on the filter body.(Fig.9)
2.1.1 MODEL AR-118:
Use the appropriate clamps to connect the ø32 mm, 4.5m. length (suction) hose between the suction valve and the
pump inlet. (Fig.4)
Use the appropriate clamps to connect the ø25 mm, 4.5m. length (feedback) hose between the discharge valve and
the filter outlet.(Fig.5)
Fill the pool with water.
2.1.2 MODEL AR-118G:
Cut the edge of the suction inlet (Fig. 7, detailed view I ). Install the suction sleeve from inside of the swimming pool
(Fig.7, pos.13, detailed view II – III ). Secure the wall connection with a clamp (Fig.7, detailed view IV ). Connect the
ø32 mm, 4.5m. length hose (Fig.7 pos.5, detailed view V) between the suction inlet and the pump inlet using the
appropriate clamps, one on each end of the hose.
Cut the edge of the feedback inlet (Fig. 8, detailed view I ). Install the feedback sleeve from inside of the swimming
pool (Fig.8, pos.14 detailed view II – III ). Secure the wall connection with a clamp (Fig.8, detailed view IV ). Connect
the ø25 mm, 4.5 m length hose (Fig.8 pos.4, detailed view V ) between the feedback inlet and the filter outlet using the
appropriate clamps, one on each end of the hose.

2.2 ELECTRIC CONNECTION

that refers "to the construction of electrical installations, both in indoor and outdoor swimming pools", or the
The pump must be connected to a 220/230 V. alternating current 50 Hz power outlet with earth connection.
An omnipolar switch must be used to ensure there is no power feed to the filter when it is not in use. A differential of
30 mA for protection from electrical breakdowns must also be used. (Not supplied. These items can be purchased at
electricity shops).
3 PRIMING THE PUMP
For the initial priming of the pump, proceed as follows:
Unscrew the appropriate clamp and disconnect the discharge hose (ø 25 mm and length 0.30 m.) from the lower inlet
of the filter body. Face the free end of the hose in the direction opposite the motor base. Switch on the pool water
suction valve. You will see that a limited flow of water is released due to the presence of air in the body of the pump.
Connect the power supply for the filter for a few seconds. Be careful not to wet the base of the motor while the power
is connected. When you can see that the stream of water is released without bubbles, disconnect it immediately from
the power point. Then, proceed in the opposite order as that described to reconnect the unit.
4 OPERATION
The operation of this filter is based on the retention capacity of the filtering cartridge located inside. To maintain the
pool water in good condition, the chemical products (chlorine, alga protection, etc.) recommended by the manufacturer
should also be used (See the pool manual). Depending on the periods of use, the environment, pollen, trees and
frequency of bathing, factors which influence the dirtiness of the pool water, this filtering cartridge must be washed
with greater or less frequency (See the section on washing the cartridge).
5 FILTRATION (Fig.3/6)
The assembly described in the hydraulic connection section will prepare the unit for filtration.
All of the pool water should be recirculated once a day.
In order to do so, verify that the two pool valves (suction and return) are open and that nobody is using the swimming
pool. Then, connect the filter to the power outlet.
All electrical installations should comply with the following standard:
equivalent standard in force in each region or country.
