15.1.2 Cleaning the glass
It is carried out with a damp cloth or with
dampened paper that is wiped over the ash.
Open the door and clean the inside part of the
glass (from above in case of IKI 16:9/IKI 16:9 TF
and Square).
You can also use detergents suitable for
cleaning kitchen ovens.
Do not clean the glass while the stove is on and
do not use abrasive sponges.
Do not dampen the door seal, as this may
deteriorate it.
15.2 Maintenance
T h e e x t r a o r d i n a r y m a i n t e n a n c e
operations must be performed by an
authorised operator who will:
• carefully clean the stove;
• verify the sealing of the seals;
• check the opening mechanism;
• make sure about the wear state of the
different elements.
15.2.1 Maintenance and cleaning of the flue
The incrustations inside the flue affect the
optimum forced draft. When they reach a
thickness of 5-6 mm, with high temperatures and
sparks, they can ignite with easily imaginable
consequences both for the flue and for the
house.
It is therefore recommended to carry
out the cleaning at least once a year or
every 4 tonnes of firewood burned (as
specified in the product standard), using
specialised personnel
In the event of missing or not suitable cleaning,
the stove may have functionality problems,
such as:
•
bad combustion;
•
blackening of the glass;
•
poor forced draft with release of smoke into
the room.
15.2.2 Maintenance and cleaning of the
O
ring system
2
The stove is equipped with a unique system for
reducing harmful emissions in the environment.
At least once a year, remove the upper deflectors
and after removing the rear stop, remove the
two active elements and clean them (Fig. 7.2a).
Remove any deposits that have accumulated
in the compartment housing O
Make sure that the two elements are correctly
refitted in their original position.
