The download manager tries to start in the respective language of the operating system. This can be changed in the download manager.

The duration depends on the available internet connection speeds, write speed and the corresponding card region, and can last up to

several hours.
The entire update process is automatic and can be left to run in the background. You can continue to work on the computer in parallel.

Note: please ensure that standby mode is not activated during the update process.

Note: should the internet connection be interrupted during an update, it can help to restart the download manager.

The memory card should not be removed before the download manager indicates that the process has been successfully completed.

General information on Garmin® MaP PIlOT sD card
no fresh map offered: If, after testing the sD card, no fresh map or software update is offered, then your sD card already has

the latest version or is outside of your fresh map period.
update: Garmin® MaP PIlOT – log in
Ensure that the SD card to be updated has already
been authorised in the vehicle. Insert the SD card
into the computer and log in using "DLM" / "DLM".

On the left-hand side, you can see the latest SD
card status. On the right-hand side, you can see
information about any possible fresh map or soft-
ware updates and their size. Before the update
process, you are asked whether you want to backup
the SD card. This allows you to restore the SD card
to its original state. Due to the data quantity to be
saved, the backup process can take some time.
