remembering that the treads must still be free to rotate (Fig. 1) (Fig. 2).
Fixing landing
16. Move component 047009 towards ceiling. Determine the position, keeping a distance of about 15 cm from
the outer edge of the landing, drill with a 14 mm bit and definitively secure, using components 008001 (Fig. 1)
(Fig. 2).
17. Fix components 047009 to landing, using components 011053 (drill landing with a 4.5 mm bit).
18. Position components 132016 (Fig. 1) (Fig. 2).
Assembly of 040 railing (go to point 35 for model 030)
19. Starting from the top, fit balusters 121019, with parts 033142 and 002040, onto corner treads with a height
of about 97.5 cm.
20. Cut sections of handrail 140010 to length; assemble with part 046011. For optimal fixing, the handrail must
follow about 1/8 of a turn from the contact point.
21. Fix handrail to balusters with parts 002031; keep balusters vertical. Insert angle parts 033103, 033105
and 033107 with screws 012014 and 001017 for changes of direction. Apply end caps 033103 to ends of
handrail with parts 011069 and 004034, drill with a 6 mm bit (Fig. 1) (Fig. 11).
22. Position the first 121019 baluster; adjust the height according to the balusters already mounted. Fix
component 033142 to the floor using a Ø 8 mm bit, so that it corresponds with the first baluster. Use
elements 011053, 008004, and 001004 (Fig. 1).
23. Cut a piece of baluster 121019 to length to obtain spacers to connect treads; lock in place with parts
001010.
24. Definitively tighten component 005008 (Fig. 5).
25. Insert the steel cables 004041 into the parts 034035 on the balusters, positioning the parts 004048 in
correspondence to the balusters at the end of the railing side. Secure the cables on one of the two ends
using the parts 004048 and 001011. Cut and secure the cables on the opposite end using the parts
004048, 001011 and 011040 (cover the cable ends with some adhesive tape to prevent them from fraying
when you cut them). Tighten the cables by screwing in part 011040 in sequence from top to bottom (Fig. 1)
(Fig. 11).
26. Complete assembly of accessories, fitting components 031054 into the lower part of balusters 121019 and
into upper part of lateral spacers 127012, and components 004051 into side of treads (Fig. 1) (Fig. 11).
Assembly of 040 balustrade
27. Screw part 033063 onto stay 046036 with screw 011038 (Fig. 1).
28. Position components 033063 on landing, using components 002040 and 001004. Drill landing with a 5 mm
bit, keeping a distance between centres that allows at least four balusters to be fitted.
29. Position balusters 121019, with components 033078 facing outwards, and tighten component 001004 (Fig. 1).
30. Fix straight handrail 140010 using components 002031 (Fig. 1).
31. Depending on position and presence of walls around the stairwell, it may be necessary to position one or two
extra balusters 121019.
32. In this case, a space must be considered that is at the same distance from the other balusters or from the
wall. Drill landing with a 4.5 mm bit and assemble with components 033063, 001004 and 002040 (Fig. 1)
(Fig. 1).
33. Assembly of floor-mounted balustrade, if applicable (Fig. 14)
Determine the position of the posts on the floor, on average one every 28 cm and at a distance of 8 cm
from the edge. Drill with a Ø 10 mm bit and insert the 046010 components, fixing them with chemical resin
(not supplied). Assemble components 033063 with components 009002 and 005001. Insert the 121019
balustrade balusters (cut at H= 910 mm) into the 033063 components, with the 033092 reinforcing baluster
about every metre, and lock them with components 033101. Fix the balusters to the wall using component
033010 and items 008004, 011053 and 033056 (drill with an Ø 8 mm bit). Determine the length of the
handrails and cut off the excess quantity. Assemble the 140010 handrails to the balusters with the 002031
components using item 046011. Assemble any 033103, 033105, 033107 connecting components and the
033103 terminal components.
1) (Fig. 11).
