Preparing the fruits/vegetables

Important: Use only well-ripened fruit, as otherwise the filter w will get
blocked. This would require repeated cleaning of the filter w.
Wash or peel the fruits/vegetables that you wish to process.
Large seeds or stones should always be removed before filling the appliance.
Cored fruit (such as apples, pears) can be processed along with the skin and
core. Remove all other stones (peaches, plums etc.), all large seeds (melons
etc.) and stalks to avoid possible damage to the appliance.
Fruits and vegetables with thick peels (e.g. citrus fruits, melons, kiwis, root
vegetables) must always be peeled first.
Remove the stalks from grapes.
Cut the fruit or vegetables into pieces that will fit easily into the feed tube 2.
Turmeric only needs to be washed, not peeled.
Remove the woody parts from the ginger, wash the ginger and cut it into
pieces. You don't have to peel ginger to extract the juice.
For celery, cut off the base and remove wilted leaves. Always feed celery
with the lower, wide end first into the feed tube 2.
Wash any lettuce varieties, e.g. iceberg or loose-leaf lettuce, and fold the
individual leaves together to form small "packages". The resulting higher
pressure allows more liquid to be obtained.
NOTE
Raisins are not suitable for juicing as they contain too little juice. Rhubarb
or other fibrous vegetables/fruits are not suitable for juicing as the fibres
will block the juicer.
