Seat height
Sit right back in the chair and raise lever to adjust height
Adjust seat so that the feet are flat on the floor. The forearms
should rest on the desk to keep the muscles in the shoulders
and neck relaxed. The angle at the knee should be at least
90°. If you experience painful pressure in the thighs, lower
the height of the desk or use a foot support.
Permanent-Contact
The backrest should be set predominantly with Permanent
Contact engaged. Press the cupped handle
and down. The backrest is free to move and follows the
movements of the upper body. A gas strut pushes the
backrest forwards.
The chairs are set at the factory for an average body weight
of appr. 50 – 70 kg. The counterpressure of the backrest
supports the upper body and relieves the pressure on
the intervertebral discs in the lumbar region. An upright
posture guarantees a wider body opening angle, prevents
constriction of the digestive organs, makes breathing easier
and improves concentration. When working in a relaxed,
reclining position (reading, phoning, dictating) the backrest

Press the adjustment button in the backrest to release the

lumbar support (where the upholstery is thickest) at about
waist height. Only in this position is the natural curve of the
spine stabilised and unnatural postures (hollow or rounded
back) can be avoided.
