Fuel Overlap Adjustment

When switching from PETROL to ALTERNATIVE FUEL, the
simulator does not turn off the injectors immediately, in order to
allow sufficient time for the gaseous fuel to reach the intake
valves from the pressure regulator. This avoids carburation "holes"
and possible backfires. For a few fractions of a second, therefore,
both PETROL and ALTERNATIVE FUELS are activated.
The fuel overlap can be adjusted in two ways, either by using
the trimmer or by using a hard-wired faston connector.
Adjustment of the fuel overlap using the trimmer
There is a trimmer in the bottom part
of the emulator that allows the setting
of the fuel overlap from 0 - 1 second.
By turning the trimmer clockwise, the
overlap time increases. Conversely,
by turning the trimmer counter-
clockwise, the overlap time
decreases.
The trimmer is factory calibrated for
REGULATING
a fuel overlap of 0.4 seconds, for this
