3. Insert at least two screws for fastening
the DSMI-... .
4. Use the hexagon for mounting a second
output drive shaft.
Make sure that the second output drive
shaft cannot slide out of the hexagon
socket.
In order to prevent this, use thread (X) at
the foot of the hexagon socket. In this
case you can insert a fastening screw. The
second output drive shaft must be bored
hollow for this purpose.
5. Make sure that the following specifica-
tions are observed when placing the
moveable mass (see chapter "Technical
specifications" and "Characteristic
curves"):
– the mass must not be tilted.
– the permitted transverse force FQ must
not be exceeded.
– the permitted maximum longitudinal
force F1 must not be exceeded.
– the permitted mass moment of inertia
must not be exceeded.
The mass moment of inertia of the moveable mass should be calculated. Lever
arms, beams and masses on a second output drive shaft should also be taken
into consideration. The permitted mass moment of inertia depends on the par-
ticular situation:
– the size of the DSMI-...
– the type of end position cushioning
– the swivel time
– the swivel angle.
The relevant mass moment of inertia can be found in the chapter "Characteris-
tic curves" or in the manual for the SPC... .
6. Push the moveable mass onto the output drive shaft.
7. Make sure that the moveable mass cannot
slide off the output drive shaft. Use the
thread in the front of the output drive
shaft for this purpose.
