2. If your ISP assigns you're a fixed IP address, click Fixed-IP xDSL and enter the
address into the IP address assigned by your ISP, Subnet Mask, ISP Gateway
Address and DNS(next Page) fields provided by the ISP.
3. If you are connected to the Internet through a DSL line, check with your ISP to see if
they use PPPoE. If they do, click PPPoE xDSL and enter the User Name and Password.
MTU: Maximum Transmission Unit-1492 is the default setting-you may need to change the
MTU for optimal performance with your ISP. If you are using AOL DSL+ service, you may
need to set the MTU to 1400.
Maximum Idle Time: The Maximum Idle Time value is only used for the On Demand
connection mode. It specifies how many minutes the WAN connection can be idle before
the connection is dropped. A value of zero means the connection will not be dropped due to
idle time.
