READ THIS INSTRUCTION SHEET AND THE SAFETY WARNINGS
CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING AND SAVE IT FOR FUTURE USE
General Features
The TM-2100 series of Room Command Modules is designed to provide room
temperature sensing in fan coil operations and allows the user a local room temperature
setpoint adjustment. Some models provide fan speed override.
The setpoint range is 12 to 28 °C or +/- (range +/- 3 °C), depending on the model
(see "Ordering Codes").
Several models permit the user to override the Command Mode from Unoccupied
(LED off) to Temporarily Occupied (LED on) by pressing the "Occupancy" button
(shown in Figure 1) on the side of the module.
The devices are designed for wall mounting in the room to be controlled. It should be
located where the occupant can easily read and adjust the set point dial or fan speed
override switch. It should be placed where the temperature is representative
of the general room conditions. Cold or warm air draughts, radiant heat and direct
sunlight should be avoided.
The TM-2100 series of Room Command Modules is designed to be used as an input
to a DDC terminal unit controller, primarily for the FCC series, and field controller from
the Facility Explorer series.

Mounting
Tools
• Flat-head screwdrivers (3 mm and 5 mm) or special tool to open module
(available from Johnson Controls, Code Number: TM-9100-8900).
• Drill, bits and appropriate 4 mm screws and plugs.
Figure 2:
Removing cover from base
(a). Insert the screwdriver (or special Johnson Controls tool
TM-9100-8900) into the gap at the center top of the cover.
(b). While pressing down gently, prise the base away from the cover.
As the two parts separate, remove the tool and continue to pull the
cover away from the base until the cover is free.
Figure 3:
Module Base
Mount the base on the wall and secure it with at least two screws.
Before piercing the wall it is recommended to cover the escapes of cables.
Wiring
• In order to prevent damages to the equipment and in order to avoid electric shocks,
before connecting or disconnecting any wires, ensure that all power supplies have
been switched off and that all the cables are potential free.
• The installation of electrical wiring must conform to local, national, and regional
regulations and should be carried out by authorized personnel only.
• Users should ensure that all Johnson Controls products are used safely and without
risk to health or property.
• Terminations are made on the terminal blocks in the base of the module, which accept
2
up to 1.5 mm
(1 x 14 AWG / 2 x 18 AWG) wires.
• All wiring to the module is at extra low (safe) voltage and must be separated
from power line voltage wiring.
• Do not run wiring close to transformers or high frequency generating equipment.
• Complete and check all wiring connections before applying power to the system
to which the module is connected.
WARNING: The circuits in the module are sensitive to static electricity.
Take suitable precautions.
