After the reading of the Control sample is done, the QC result ("Pass" or "Fail") is shown both on the
display of the Reader and in the "Class" column on the right side of the window.
If the QC result is "Pass", the Reader can be used further. If the QC result is "Fail", please try to do the
following:
1) If the "Result" column is shown as "<----", it means the Reader cannot find the Control sample in the
slot. Make sure the Control sample inserts as far as it can go. Then press the Quality Check button to
restart the procedure.
2) Make sure the Control sample provided by the manufacturer is used for the QC procedure. Please
avoid the shorter slide for diagnostics (AMA RUT Expert) to be used for the QC procedure.
3) Detach the slide holder and clean the glass on the bottom of the Reader (please see Maintenance
and cleaning of the Reader on page 21).
4) Make sure the Control sample is not dirty.
5) If none of these helps, contact the Manufacturer and be
ready to provide with the saved QC result(s).
3. To save the QC test result, click on Menu and Save data to file in the menu bar. The saved file with
".tsv" extension (tab separated values) can be opened by AMA RUT Reader software and also by other
applications, for example Microsoft Excel.
We strongly recommend saving the results of every QC procedure. If the QC result is not
saved before closing the software, it will be lost.
