3.4 Precautions for Installing the Printer

The prin ter can be used horizontally, vertically, or installed on a wall.
Hori zontal posi tion
CAUTION
Do not use the printer under the following conditions.
Locations subj ect to vibratio n or instability.
Locations that are very dirty or dusty.
Locations where the printer is not level.
• The printer may fall and cause an inju ry.
• The quality of printin g may deterior ate.
Oriented other than as specified.
• The printer may malfunction , be damag ed, or cause an electric shock.
Precautio ns for horizontal installatio ns
Do not set cutting to full cut. Doing so may cause cutter jams.
Vertical installa tion
Use the rubber feet provided when using the prin ter in a vertical installation.
Attach the rubber feet to the four square indent ations on the back of the printer.

Wall installation

Request a service person to install the printer on a wall. See the manual for
whichever option for more details .
