8. SERVICE & MAINTENANCE
8.1. CLEANING & DISINFECTION
For cleaning, disconnect the device from the power circuit. For private use, use
a clean damp cloth (with clean water or mild soapy water) to clean the unit
casing and attachments. For clinical and professional use, clean and disinfect
the instrument casing, disk attachment, and round head attachment with an
appropriate surface disinfectant for medical devices before and after each use.
For disinfection, NOVAFON generally recommends alcohol-free disinfectants
that are suitable for use on sensitive surfaces, e.g. SinAlc sensitive by HIMED
or RHEOSEPT-WD plus Wipes from Rheosol. If necessary, wipe dry with a soft
cloth. Loosen the attachment from the device at regular intervals (twist off and
twist on) as this ensures that the attachment cannot become stuck in the thread.

device yourself to correct any malfunction. Attempts to repair the device your-
self will void the warranty.

conform with DGVU 3 for example is also recommended at least every 2 years.
