5.3 Function

Progam number
Shows the current program number. Up to 99 individual pro-
grams can be stored.
Rapid cooling (programmed)
Rapid cooling can also be saved in the menu together with the
program. The symbol " " is then displayed under the symbol
with the three ice crystals.
During rapid cooling, the vacuum pump switches on and aspira-
tes air through the firing chamber until the starting temperature
has been reached again.
Rapid cooling (manual)
Switch on by pressing the button Lift " ".
The function can only be switched on if:
a. the program has ended
b. the firing chamber is completely opened
c. the firing chamber temperature is higher than the theoretical
preheating temperature.
Preheating temperature - theoretical
100 – 1200 ºC
Heating rate
1 – 120 ºC/minute
Max. = full power (approx. 140 ºC)
Firing temperature - theoretical
300 – 1200 ºC
Actual temperature
0 – 1250 ºC
Total firing time / error display
Shows the total firing time as approximate addition of all
program steps. During the program sequence, the total firing
time is updated after each completed program step. This also
serves as the error display.
In this case, the error message overwrites the total firing time.
Drying time
0 – 25 minutes
Preheating time
0 – 25 minutes
Vacuum display
The vacuum display activates as soon as the cursor is placed
on the display. Vacuum level 1 – 99 hPa.
09–01 flashing = vacuum is being generated 900 – 100 hPa.
< = 99 hPa flashing – absolute vacuum
Once the desired vacuum level is reached, the temperature
increase to the set firing temperature starts.

0 – 99.5 minutes
Firing time
0 – 99.9 minutes
Cooling stages
0 = Lift moves immediately to lower end position – no cooling
1 = Workpiece moves approx. 7 cm from the firing chamber
2 = Workpiece moves approx. 5 cm from the firing chamber
3 = Workpiece remains in the firing chamber
If programmed, the cooling starts after the end of the firing time.
It lasts until the preheating temperature (with firing muffle
switched off) is reached again.

Button "on/off"
By pressing this button, the furnace control is switched on and
off.
In "Off" state, the firing chamber is (will be) closed. Afterwards,
if set in the menu "Configuration", a vacuum of 800 hPa is
generated or the standby temperature is activated (the pump
must remain operational), the heating muffle switches off and the
display shows the "Off" state, as illustrated below. This prevents
moisture from entering the insulation.
