conventional DC power packs.
• This model comes equipped with a Trix

• Headlights change over with the direction of travel.
• Minimum radius for operation is 360 mm / 14-3/16".

Operating Instructions

• Information about retrofitting a digital decoder:
This locomotive has an electronic circuit plugged into the
digital connector instead of a connector plug on the basic
circuit board in the tender. This electronic circuit is only
required in analog operation. It must be removed when
retrofitting the locomotive with a digital decoder. See also
Page 16.
• This starter set is delivered to the dealers with Relex
couplers mounted on the locomotive and cars. Due to
various feedback, the use of this coupler on beginner
models appears to be more convenient, because the
coupling behavior is easier to work with than with the
Märklin close coupler. This especially ensures the play
value for our new customers. Naturally, we also include
the Märklin close couplers so that the experienced model
railroader can install them in order to be able represent
more prototypical operation on his model railroad layout.
