7 Operation

7.1 Start a program

1 Plug the autoclave into the mains.
2 Switch on the main switch (7).
The control panel does an automatic test. It indicates an error in case of fail. It
indicates "Ld" if it passes the test.
3 Put the material to be sterilized into the chamber and close it by using the knob
(1).
4 Start the autoclave by pressing "Start/Stop" key (23). "HE" message appears.
5 The programme stops automatically when it ends. You can abort it if necessary
by pressing again the "Start/Stop" key (23). The message "Ed" is displayed. The
"running" indicator goes off and the "ready" indicator lights up.

7.2 Select a program

1 Select a temperature. Use the "Select" key (18) to select 121ºC, 134ºC or textile
(B ). The selection will be indicated by the corresponding led.

2 To select wrapped or unwrapped instruments, use the "Package" key (19). The
selection will be indicated by the corresponding led.
3 Select "Quick" drying (22) if necesary. Only in unwrapped processes. The selection
will be indicated by the corresponding led.

7.3 Step selection

This option allows a pre-warming of the chamber in order to shorten the time of
the cycles. The selection will be indicated by the corresponding led.

7.4 Tests

This autoclave has two test programs:
1 Bowie Dick: Useful to check the sterilization. Select it by the "Test" key (20). The
led "B&D" must light.
2 Vacuum test: Useful to found leakages. Select it by the "Test" key (20). The led
"Leak" must light. Vacuum test is recommended to be done everyday before
starting the batch sterilization.
Ensure that the vacuum gauge in the upper left corner of the screen reaches at
least a value of -0.7 BAR.
Caution: When unloading material from autoclave.
Hazard of burns if in contact with hot surfaces.
The temperature in this area can exceed 60ºC.
Use the tray holder to load or unload the tray with instruments in it in order to avoid
burning injuries.
