CONNECTIONS
Depending on which power supply is available, commutate the DIP-FIX switch both on the receiver and on the
transmitter.
Switch CLOSED = 12VDC – AC;
Switch OPEN = 24VDC – AC;
Remove the inset terminal board and hook up as shown in Fig. 1 for single ray or Fig. 2 for multiple rays.
Use a multipolar shielded cable to connect the receiver and transmitter (for example, we recommend cables of
the type 2 x 0,75 + 6 x 0,22 + shield). Connect the sleeve of the shielded cable to the negative pole of the
system. It is essentially that this hook-up be done only to one end of the cable, leaving the other and free.
The termostat power, or in any case alternating voltages, must be carried by separate cables.
Correctly insert the terminal board and provide power to the devices.
For thermostat connections, tamper and any power pack to be used, see the relative brochures.
Should the system require the use of use of balanced lines, it is possible to insert a resistance in the contact
N.C. of the relay. To do this, move jumper RL from position C to position R and weld the resistance to the pins
(see Fig. 3).
ALIGNMENT WITH SINGLE BEAM
To operate the IOR5MS in single-beam mode, the user may choose whether to enable or disable the
synchronism signal on the receiver circuit as explained below:
If you want to enable the synchronism signal you have to enable the SYNC jumper, to make no
connections on terminal block corresponding to the SYNC signal; furthermore you have to switch the
slide selector on the transmitter circuit to MASTER position;
If you want to disable the synchronism signal you have to disable the SYNC jumper, to make
connections on terminal block corresponding to the SYNC signal; furthermore you have to switch the
slide selector on the transmitter circuit to MASTER position;
