STORAGE
With the console's built-in memory, you can
save games and other media, and enable Xbox
LIVE sign-in. You can also use the Xbox 360
Memory Unit (sold separately) for portable
storage and the Xbox 360 Hard Drive (sold
separately) for all of your storage needs.
PersonalizeYourConsoleMemory
You can personalize your console memory by
giving it a name.
To give your console memory a name:
Select System, Memory.

Highlight the console memory.

Choose DeviceOptions, and rename your

console memory.
Once your console memory has been
personalized, you can identify it by its new
name.
CopyorDeleteSavedItems
You can copy items on your console memory
to a memory unit, connected PC, or a
connected USB device. You can also free
space on your console by deleting items.
To copy or delete an item from your
memory unit:
Select System, Memory.

Select your console memory.

Choose the type of item, then select the

specific item that you want to copy to
another location or delete from the console
memory.
nOTE
If you delete content originally included with
your console memory, it cannot be restored.
Make sure you do not want to keep any
content before deletion.
MemoryUnits
You can connect up to two portable memory
units (sold separately) to the memory unit
ports on the front of your console for
additional storage. Memory units let you
easily take your Xbox LIVE profile or saved
games to other Xbox 360 consoles. You can
also take your memory unit to participating

retailers and download content from Xbox 360
demo kiosks.
RemovableHardDrive
You can also install the Xbox 360 Hard Drive
(sold separately), which provides extensive
storage for downloadable game content,
saved games, gamer profiles, and Xbox LIVE
membership information. A hard drive is
required to play original Xbox games on
your Xbox 360 console.
