MOVING THE MACHINE
(See Figure 1 and 2)
Set The Handles To The Desired Length:
•
Loosen Knob (1I), pull the Handle Bar (1H) in or out to
desired length, then tighten the Knob (1I).
Moving The Saw With The Engine Off:
•
Turn Engine Key Switch (1E) to the ON position.
•
Raise the saw by cranking the Raise/Lower Hand
Wheel (1A) COUNTERCLOCKWISE until the Diamond
Blade (2E) (if installed) clears the pavement surface.
•
Put the Speed Control Lever (1J) into the Neutral
position.
•
Engage the transmission.
•
The saw can now be moved by standing behind it and
pushing [while holding the Handle Bars (1H)].
DO NOT attempt to push the saw while it is
parked on a grade (or hill). The saw operator
could lose control of the saw and cause injury
to himself or other person(s) in the area.
Moving The Saw With Engine On:
•
Raise the saw by cranking the Raise/Lower Hand
Wheel (1A) until the Diamond Blade (2E) (if installed)
clears the pavement surface.
•
Press the Water Safety Switch (1B) button. This will
reset the Water Safety Switch, if the water supply has
been interrupted.
•
Push the transmission Engaging Lever (1F), located at
rear center of cowl , DOWN
transmission. Pull the Engaging Lever (1F) UP to
DISENGAGE the transmission. When the engine is on
and the saw is manually pushed, the transmission
MUST be DISENGAGED.
•
The transmission Speed Control Lever (1J) is located
on the top, right hand side of the cowl. This lever
controls the variable FORWARD and REVERSE ground
speed (up to 130 feet per minute) of the saw.
WARNING: When engaging the transmission
with the Engaging Lever, be sure the Speed
Control Lever is at the NEUTRAL position to
avoid saw movement.
•
Turn the Engine Key Switch (1E) to the start position
until the engine starts, then release the switch. It will
return to RUN position. If the engine does not start,
repeat these steps.
DO NOT attempt to start the saw while it is
parked on a grade or hill.
•
Put the Control Lever (1J) into gear. Push the Lever
(1J) forward for Forward saw movement, or to the rear
for Reverse saw movement. The further you push, the
lever the faster the speed.

engine movement stops. For all other models, turn the
KEY SWITCH to the OFF position and wait for ALL
engine movement to stop.
When moving the saw up and down ramps, with engine
running, use extreme caution.

Lifting The Saw. The saw can only be lifted by the factory
installed Lifting Bail (3B). Do not use tie down brackets to
lift the machine!!

II-18W, PUSH and HOLD DOWN the KILL
BUTTON (Figure 8, Item 3), located on the
right-hand center of the saw cowl, until ALL

TRANSPORT (BLADE REMOVED)
(See Fig. 1, 2, and 3)
Turn Key Switch to "OFF" and wait for ALL
engine movement to stop. Remove the Diamond
Blade (2E) before transporting.
WARNING: All models are Self-Propelled. Use
extreme caution and slow speed when using
the self-propelling drive to move the saw up or
down ramps or when loading or unloading
from trucks or trailers.
To go DOWN a ramp drive the saw FORWARD slowly.
To go UP a ramp, back the saw in REVERSE slowly.
Set the Engine Key Switch (1E) in the OFF position.
Set Speed Control Lever (1J) in the NEUTRAL position.
Push Handle Bars (1H) inward and tighten Knobs (1I).
Block the saw in place or secure it into place to
prevent movement during transport.

CHECK BEFORE STARTING
Take into account the working conditions from
health and safety point of view.
Fuel: Check the engine maintenance manual.

Gas Models: Unleaded gasoline is recommended.
*
Diesel Models: #2 Diesel fuel is recommended.
Check that the engine oil level is correct. Because the
engine often operates at an angle, check the oil level
(with engine horizontal) frequently to ensure that the oil
level never falls below the lower mark on the
dipstick. 10W30 oil is recommended.
