DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION
The vending machine is exclusively for the dispensing of drinks, prepared
mixing food substances with water (by infusion as far as concerns espresso
coffee).
For this purpose use products declared as suitable by the manufacturer for
automatic distribution in open containers.
Sugar, plastic cups and sugar mixing blades will be made available to the
user as they are not distributed automatically by the machine.
The drinks must be consumed immediately and in no case are to be kept for
subsequent consumption.
ESPRESSO COFFEE
This process functions only the models equipped with the coffee espresso
group (brass or plastic), after the cup and sugar dispensing processes have
been effected.
– the grinder is activated until it reaches the dose of ground coffee set by
the doser (Fig.5.1)
– the doser electromagnet is activated , causing the opening of the door
and consequent fall of the coffee into the brew chamber
– the rotation group geared motor brings it into the dispensing position and
simultaneously compresses the ground coffee (Fig.5.2).
– the pump that dispenses the quantity of programmed water and that is
controlled by a specific electronic device, (volume meter), extracting the
water from the coffee boiler (Fig.5.3).
– the coffee group geared motor is activated again so as to bring again
into standby position; during this movement the used coffee grounds are
expelled (Fig.5.4)
The sequence of these operations (grinding and coffee dispensing) could
occur in inverse order according to the type of programme used.
ESPRESSO COFFEE (vending machines with a variable coffee
chamber)
This process takes place only in models fitted with a variable chamber es-
presso group and timed grinding (Fig. 5.5) (ground coffee dispensed into
the group without mechanical dosing).
Grinding
-
Select a beverage including espresso, the grinding starts for the time
programmed by the operator in the specific doses (Fig. 5.6).
-
The ground coffee falls directly into the infusion cup in the coffee group
(already positioned under the coffee chute) (Fig. 5.7)
Dispensing group
-
The group rotating gear motor activates to place the group in the dispens-
ing position, inserting the piston (Fig. 5.8).
Pressing
-
The coffee pump is activated and the solenoid valve that drives the upper
piston opens, the hydraulic thrust (programmable through adjustment
of thrust pressure) brings the piston into the infusion group, therefore
applying the desired amount of pressure on the coffee dose (Fig. 5.9).
Once compression concludes the loading valve closes.
Pre-infusion (if programmed)
-
Upon conclusion of the pressing phase the vending machine starts pre-
infusion.
The coffee solenoid valve opens until the programmed quantity of water
is dispensed, then the coffee solenoid valve closes.
Once pre-infusion is concluded, the machine checks the coffee pressing
and possible opens the solenoid valve again to correct it, opening water
loading until the proper pressing is reached (See the "Pressing" phase).
Infusion
-
Once the coffee compression phase is concluded, the coffee solenoid valve
opens and dispenses the programmed quantity controlled by an electronic
device (volumetric meter).
Final pressing
-
Once dispensing is concluded the coffee solenoid valve is deactivated,
the water loading valve activates (for a programmed time) to to lower
the upper piston once more, pressing the coffee dose, drying it further.
Any water produced during the final pressing phase is expelled through
the 3rd passage (drain) of the coffee solenoid valve.
Drain
-
Once final pressing is concluded the pressure present in the upper piston
is discharged (the loading solenoid valve closes, and the drainage solenoid
valve opens), to make the piston retract completely.
Return
-
Once the piston has retracted (Fig. 5.10 - pos. 1) the coffee group gear
motor activates once again to place the group in the standby position,
ready for a new cycle to begin.
-
During the movement the used coffee dose is also expelled (Fig. 5.10
- pos. 2).
INSTANT DRINKS
According to the type drink requested and to the vending machine model,
several of the various processes described here below can be activated.
– If present, the whipper motor is activated (Fig.5.11)
-
The electro valve fixed on the soup boiler (Fig.5.12) or on the coffee boiler
(Fig.5.13). it is activated to introduce into the mixer the programmed
water quantity.
-
The instant product geared motor activates the helicoidal screw conveyor
so as to dispense the quantity of product programmed into the mixer (in
some versions several products can be processed in the same mixer such
as milk and chocolate) (Fig.5.14)
-
Once the preset water and powder quantity has been preset has been sup-
plied, the mixer is disabled after a time (T) set during the programming.
5.1 ACCESSORIES
5.2 Base unit kit
Upon request, a base unit is available for the vending machine model TALIA-
FESTA.
The kit includes:
-
coffee grounds discharge chute
-
grounds pipe conveyor
-
liquid drainage funnel
-
discharged liquid container
-
grounds tray
-
microswitch and overfill float
For the assembly of the base unit with the vending machine, proceed as
follows:
It is essential to fix the base unit to a wall by using the sup-
plied plate.
-
Fix the plate to the wall by using three M6 screws and suitable anchors
(fig. 5.15).
-
Draw the base unit closer to the clamp (fig. 5.16) and fix it to it by using
two supplied nuts (fig. 5.17).
-
Place the vending machine on the base unit (fig. 5.18).
-
Unscrew the 4 feet of the machine and remove them (fig. 5.19), fix the
machine to the base unit by using the 4 supplied screws (fig. 5.20).
5.2.1 Fitting in the coffee grounds discharge chute
Remove the liquid tray and the coffee grounds tray.
Don't' forget to:
-
Remove the disk on the machine bottom by breaking the tongues fixing
it (fig. 5.21).
-
Fit the pipe conveyor into the seat (fig. 5.22).
Fit in the coffee grounds discharge chute, attaching the upper end bush to
the specially provided slot on the machine support (fig. 5.23).
5.2.2 Liquid collection
-
Remove the tray and make a hole in the discharge (fig.5.24).
-
Fit the liquid drainage funnel in the specially provided support (unless it
is already present) (fig.5.25)
-
Refit the liquid tray, making sure that the container is present in the lower
housing (fig.5.26).
-
Fit the overfill float into the container.
-
If the vending machine is connected to the water supply network, fit the
microswitch on the bracket as in figure 5.27, attach the red and yellow
wires (fig. 5.28) and connect them to the black wires (fig. 5.29) of the
float micro located inside the base unit above the container.
