The output voltage waveform of the inverter is called "modified sine wave",
it is a step waveform similar to household alternating current , this type of
waveform is applicable to most of the load, including linear or switching
power supply, transformer, electric motor etc. In a modified sine wave, the
voltage rises and falls abruptly, the phase angle also changes abruptly and
it sits at 0 Volts for some time before changing its polarity.
Note: Modified sine wave inverters are not suitable for all electrical
appliances. Unusable appliances include some air-conditioning fans with
capacitance voltage-reducing circuits.
