USE AND MAINTENANCE
REMOVAL SYSTEM OF CHEEK PADS SSS (Suomy Safety System)
JUMPER is equipped with a system to remove the cheek pads in case of an accident and limit possible further
damage caused when a helmet is removed.
The SSS system (Suomy Safety System) uses two special bands at the bottom side of the helmet which allows
medical staff to remove the cheek pads when helmet is worn without causing further injuries to a person and to
permit the helmet's removal in remarkably easy way.
This operation must be conducted by qualified medical personnel and it has to be exclusively used for the
removal of the helmet's cheek pads.
REMOVAL OF CHEEK PADS THROUGH SSS SYSTEM (Suomy Safety System)
For the cheek pads' removal, it is necessary to grasp the band of the SSS system firmly (Pic. 10) after extracting
it from its position (Pic. 9 -10), taking care to hold the helmet still while another hand is placed on the chin.
This operation allows you to extract the cheek pads while limiting head movement. Once the cheek pads are
extracted, the helmet may be removed from the head of the injured person.
Exert a slight force pulling the band towards the inside of the helmet, to allow the release of the press-studs on
the inside helmet to allow the removal of the cheek pad (Pic. 11).
Warning! The SSS band should be used only to remove the cheek pads in case of an accident and only
by trained personnel.
