Installation:
Important note:
In new buildings or renovated buildings, smoke alarms should not be installed until all work has been
completed (including the laying of floor coverings) and the building has been fully cleaned.
Installation, use, test and maintenance
Note:
Although the McSMOKE RF has a large range of 50m, concrete walls in a house can attenuate the
radio signal, and thus reduce the effective range. We recommend therefore that before proceeding
with the installation work each smoke alarm should always be tested in its intended location.
Insert the batteries into the radio module (3x AAA, 1.5V) and the smoke alarm (1x 9V block).
Connect the smoke alarm to the radio module. Make sure that the correct polarity is observed for the
connection.
Then connect the smoke alarm to the radio module.
