17. Set the Header Height
Measure the distance between the header height and the footbath rim at both the end and the center
of the header. Compare the distance. The header should be 1/4" (6 mm) higher at the center. The
combined weight of the door panels will pull the header down until it is level or close to level.
Adjust the level of the header by first loosening the buttonhead screw securing the header to the
center support. Back out the adjustment screw one or two turns. Retighten the buttonhead screw
with the hex tool and ratchet. This will cause the header to pivot slightly upward.
Alternate this procedure on both ends of the header and remeasure the header height at both ends
and the center. Tighten the buttonhead screws when the adjustments are complete.
IMPORTANT! The header must be 1/4" (6 mm) higher at the center. The center of the header must not
sag downward or the door panels will not operate correctly.
