Playback from Bluetooth™ devices (phone, tablet or MP3 player)
To pair a Bluetooth device:
1. Turn the Function Knob (6) to the RADIO position
and slide the FM/BT switch (9) to BT, the Blue BT
indicator LED will flash rapidly, your unit is now ON
and is entering "pairing" mode
2. Position the Bluetooth device within 1m of the
turntable open the Bluetooth menu on your device.
3. Select your turntable system which will appear as
"KD-BT45" on the Bluetooth device list.
4. Once paired, the Blue LED light will stay on.
5. You can now start to play audio via Bluetooth™.
6. If pairing is unsuccessful, turn off the unit first and
then re-pair following steps 1-4 above.
Playback from USB memory stick or SD card
1. Turn ON the unit and adjust the volume to a low/
mid level.
2. Insert a USB device (max 32Gb) into the USB port,
making sure it is fully inserted. Alternatively insert
an SD card (max 32Gb) into the SD card slot,
making sure it is inserted straight with the
contacts facing downwards.
3. Turn the Function Knob to the CD position.
4. To play music from the USB drive, long press the
USB/SD button until "Ud" flashes on the display,
release the button and audio playback will start
automatically.
5. To play music from an SD card, long press the
/USB/SD button a second time until "Sd" flashes

Encoding and recording to a USB memory stick or SD card

To record from vinyl records, cassette tapes, CDs or
the AUX input:
1. Insert a storage device (USB or SD card) into
the relevant slot.
2. Get your traditional music media ready for
playback: Either place a record on the turntable,
insert a cassette tape into the cassette slot, insert a
CD into the CD tray or cue media on the
equipment connected to the AUX socket (12).
3. Set the function switch to the appropriate function:
PHONO, CD or TAPE/AUX.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are recording from cassette,
make sure an AUX IN cable is not connected to the
AUX socket (12).
Playback from AUX socket
1. Press the Power Button to turn the system ON, set
the Function Knob (6) to TAPE/AUX.
2. Connect one end of a 3.5mm AUX-IN cable (not
supplied) into the 3.5mm AUX Input (12) on
the front panel of the unit and the other end to

Playing Music Using the Line Output Sockets

You can output music from your turntable system to
external speakers or to an amplifier using the stereo
line out phono/RCA sockets (35) on the back of the
turntable housing (phono connecting cable not

7. Once you have paired your system with a device, it
will remember the device and pair automatically
when the device's Bluetooth is activated and in
range. You do not need to re-pair previously
connected devices.
8. To pair to a new device please follow the steps
outlined above.
9. Once the turntable is paired with your device the
music will transmit directly to the turntable.
Initially set your device's volume to full and the
turntable's volume to low and start playing
music from your device, adjust the turntable's
volume to the desired sound level.

PLEASE NOTE:
• The recording volume level can be adjusted with
the Volume Knob (13).
• The recording speed is 1:1. Recording will take as
long as the media takes to play normally.
• The preset recording format is MP3.
