D
Distance "D" taken at
flattest point above radius
D – 1-5/32" (29.4cm) = Bottom Track Length
1. Measure and Cut Bottom Track
CAUTION: Risk of injury. Wear safety glasses while cutting materials.
- Carefully measure distance D from wall to wall. If walls have curves at bottom near ledge, measure above curves.
NOTE: If a steel measuring tape is used, be sure to add the width of the measuring tape case to the measurement.
- Measure distance D again to be sure of the correct measurement.
- Cut the bottom track 1 5/32" (29.4cm) less than distance measured. Check subtraction to be sure of exact length
before cutting bottom track. For best results, use a 32 tooth hacksaw blade and a miter box.
IMPORTANT! Do not cut top track at this time. Finish cut is different length than bottom track.
2. Locate Bottom Track
- Place the bottom track on the flattest part of the ledge with the leg of the track towards the outside of the shower.
- Make sure that the space between the wall and the ends of the bottom track is the same on both ends, and track is
positioned evenly from outer edge of ledge.
- Temporarily fasten the bottom track to the bath/shower ledge with masking tape.
- Using a soft pencil, mark the ledge along the front edge of the track.
