● For a perfect operation of the nail gun, it is necessary to use filtered,
dry and lubricated compressed air, in a sufficient quantity.
● If the pressure at the supply network is higher than the maximum
admissible pressure for the nail gun, a pressure regulating valve
(pressure reducer) should be mounted on the tool's supply line with a
pressure relief valve, connected in series.
3.1 - TIPS FOR USING THE NAIL / STAPLER GUN
1)
Before using the nail/stapler gun for the first time and after each use,
lubricate air inlet E of the nail/stapler gun (fig. 2).
2)
Check that protector A of the nail/stapler gun is working correctly. Check
by hand that is free to move to-and-from without any obstruction (fig. 3).
Never load the nail/staple cartridge without first of all checking
that protector A is working correctly.
Never connect the nail/stapler gun to the compressor without
first of all checking correct functioning of protector A.
3)
Release the outer part of cartridge C from the locked position,
pressing button D (fig. 4).
4)
Slide the outer part of cartridge C downwards (fig. 5).
5)
Insert a set of nails/staples H in the housing of the cartridge L (fig.
6a - 6b) checking correct positioning.
6)
Slide the outer part of cartridge C upwards (fig. 7).
7)
Block the outer part of cartridge C pushing this in until complete
connection of button D. Make sure that the cartridge is securely
fastened (fig. 8).
8)
Connect the nail/stapler gun to the compressor as explained in chapter
1 «COMPRESSOR-ACCESSORY CONNECTION».
9)
Adjust working pressure to the value indicated for this accessory
10) The nail/stapler gun is now ready for use. Before proceeding with
the actual work, it is advisable to practice on a test piece in order to
check penetration of the nails/staples: use a piece of reject wood of
a thickness exceeding the length of the nails/staples. Rest point A of
the nail/stapler gun against the surface of the wood and press trigger
B. If the nail/staple does not penetrate to the depth required, set the
air pressure to a higher value WITHOUT HOWEVER EXCEEDING
THE VALUE INDICATED IN THIS MANUAL (fig. 11).
3.1.1
Adjusting depth of nailing/stapling
● This tool has a depth setting adjuster (Fig. 12) in the form of a knurled
screw.
REPARATION OF THE TOOL AND TROUBLESHOOTING
Support and repair
All quality tools need support and spare parts as a result of normal wear symptoms due to usage. All interventions must be carried out exclusively by
a qualified and authorised technician. Do not attempt to repair the tool on your own. All spare parts must fulfil the requirements of the manufacturer.

Troubleshooting

Before any maintenance operation, disconnect the air supply and empty the cartridge.
Symptom
Fixing elements incompletely inserted.
Air leakage at the outlet of the trigger's
actuator.
Air leakage at the upper part of the tool.
Fixing elements only occasionally inserted
or jammed.
The tool operates with difficulty.
Various.
f Note:
WCE = (Working Contact Element) protection/safety element A (illustrated in fig. 3).
● If you screw it downwards (Fig. 12 / ref. P), the staples/nails will be
shot in deeper.
● If you want to reduce the depth that the staples/nails are shot in, you
have to screw the knurled screw upwards (Fig. 12 / ref. Q).
Warning!
To prevent triggering unintentionally, the depth setting must never be
pulled back by hand in normal operation.
3.1.2
The direction of exhaust air can be changed 360 degrees of angle by
turning the exhaust cover with a hand.
3.2 - MAINTENANCE
Warning!
Before cleaning and inspection operations, disconnect the tool form the
pneumatic supply and empty the cartridge.
Before each use, lubricate air inlet D of the nail/stapler gun (fig. 2).
If a nail/staple remains jammed inside the nail/stapler gun, comply
scrupulously with the procedure indicated:
1)
Switch off the compressor.
2)
Disconnect the nail/stapler gun from the compressor.
3)
Release the outer part of cartridge C from the locked position,
pressing button D (fig. 4).
4)
Slide the outer part of cartridge C downwards (fig. 5).
5)
Using a suitable Allen wrench G remove screws M and N, located
in the upper part of the nail/stapler gun (fig. 9).
6)
Remove the cover I of the nail/stapler gun (fig. 10).
7)
Remove any jammed nail/staple.
8)
Replace the cover I of the nail/stapler gun.
9)
Using a suitable Allen wrench G on screws M and N, secure these
again to the cover I.
10) Slide the outer part of cartridge C upwards (fig. 7).
11)
Block the outer part of cartridge C pushing this in until complete
connection of button D. Make sure that the cartridge is securely
fastened (fig. 8).
12) Connect the nail/stapler gun to the compressor as explained in chapter
1 «COMPRESSOR-ACCESSORY CONNECTION».
13) After restarting the compressor, the nail/stapler gun is ready for use.
After use, always store the nail/stapler gun in a dry, clean environment.
Do not use solvents, flammable or toxic liquids to clean the gun.
