2. Reinstall the oil drain screw [2] fitted with its seal [3] and tighten
securely.

Oil capacity: 1,1
NOTE: Protection of the environment: Waste oil is a serious
source of pollution of our environment; we strongly recommend that
you take it in a leak-proof container to a service station or a waste
disposal site, which will recycle it. Do not throw oil away with
household waste, and do not dispose of it by pouring it away on the
ground or down the drain.

AIR CLEANER MAINTENANCE

The engine will not run properly if the air cleaner is dirty: it is very
important that the air cleaner is serviced regularly.
Never use petrol or inflammable solvents to clean air cleaner
elements: these products can cause fire and damage the air
cleaner elements.
1. Remove wing nut [4] and the air filter
cover [5]. Remove wing nut [8] and
elements [6] and [7], and separate
them. Carefully check for cracks on the
two elements and make sure they are
not clogged. Replace the elements if
they show signs of damage.
2. Paper element [6]: Tap the element
lightly several times on a hard surface
to remove impurities or clean the
element by blowing compressed air
from the inside towards the outside. Do
not brush the element as this would
cause the impurities to become
embedded in the fibres. Replace the
paper element if it is very dirty.
3. Foam element [7]: Wash the element in
a solution of warm water and non-
foaming household detergent, then
rinse and allow it to dry completely or,
alternatively, wash it in a nonflammable solvent and allow it to
dry completely. Soak the element in clean oil and squeeze out
the excess oil. If too much oil is left in the foam filter, the engine
will smoke the next few times it is started up.
4. Reinstall air filter elements [6] and [7], the wing nut [8] and the
cover [5]. Tighten the wing nut correctly [4].
CAUTION:
• Do not use the generator without its air cleaner, as this can
damage the engine.

CHECKING THE SPARK PLUG

Recommended spark plugs:
BPR6ES (NGK), W20EPR-U (NIPPONDENSO Co. Ltd)
CAUTION:
• Only use the recommended type of spark plug.
• The use of spark plugs with an incorrect heat range can cause
damage to the engine.
6 EN
If the engine has been running, do not touch the muffler or the
spark plug as you risk burning yourself.

CLEANING THE SEDIMENT
CUP
Shut off the fuel valve. Remove the
sediment cup [9] and O-ring [10] and
clean them in a nonflammable solvent.
[4]
Allow the parts to dry completely and
then reinstall them. Turn the fuel valve
ON and check for leaks.

MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

[8]
To ensure that the generator performs correctly and has a long
working life, it is essential that the maintenance schedule be
[6]
observed.
Perform this maintenance at every
indicated month or operating hour
