2. Insert the probe carefully into the ear canal.
Hold the thermometer so that the probe is going straight into
the ear toward the eardrum. It is important that the probe
sensor faces the eardrum.
Hold the outer ear and gently pull it toward the rear of the
head to straighten the ear canal.
Always insert the thermometer into the same ear with the
same direction and depth.
3. Press the
to start the measurement. Keep the probe still
until you hear the temperature voice announce the completed
reading (if the talking feature is turned on), or until you hear
a beep. The back-light will also light up according to the
temperature reading.
4. When the measurement is complete, the thermometer
may be removed from the ear. The LCD will flash for
about 6 seconds. You can measure again after the ear sign
stops flashing.
