transport or assembly, do not install the equipment and replace it even if there are no patent
damages to the plastic parts.
B1.3 General instructions for installation
-
Once the packaging has been removed, check the pump integrity. If doubt, do not use it and
contact the supplier. Make sure that all listed parts are present.
-
Check that the pressure and temperature of the supply water are within the technical data of
the equipment. In case of network pressures higher than the maximum pressure even for
short period, install a protective pressure reducer upstream. The pressure must be at least
1,5 bar.
-
The Manufacturer declines all liability for damages to property or persons resulting from the
incorrect installation of the pump and/or the installation of the pump in a system not complying
with the laws in force.
The plumbing system in which the pump is installed and the installation of the pump itself must be
carried out in compliance with best practice, in line with all the current laws in force.
All materials used for the construction of water plumbing systems must be suitable for contact with
water intended for human consumption according to local laws. The construction and modification of
a water distribution system intended for human consumption requires performing the interventions
in such a way as not to jeopardize the hygiene of the system. Before installing the pump, clean all
piping and equipment installed before the pump in order to remove any foreign bodies that could
cause pump malfunction. After the installation the plumbing system intended for human consumption
must be washed and/or disinfected according to the requirements of the EN 806-4 standard.
It is advisable to install a protection filter upstream of MiniDUE in order to avoid blockages due to
coarse materials.
B1.4 Hydraulic checks after installation
After opening the water upstream of the equipment check for leaks;
1)
Check for the correct installation of the pump in order to facilitate ordinary maintenance
operations.
2)
Verify the presence of a by-pass circuit that permits the exclusion of the pump and the
presence of sampling faucets upstream and downstream of the pump.
3)
Check the correspondence of the system to any local regulations or recommendations issued
by the competent local area offices.
4)
Check periodically that AcquaSIL 2/15
the refill bag has to decrease proportionally with water treated). If this is not the case, please
contact Acqua Brevetti SRL (telephone: +39.(0)49.8973432 e-mail
B1.6 Allowed installation schemes
If you are using the refill in the bag which is remotely located, the dosing pump could be installed in
any position.
Install MiniDUE according to one of the following schemes.
The MiniDUE pumps with ½" connections are equipped with bidirectional connection, the entrance
and exit of the water can occur indifferently from both the connections.
The MiniDUE pump with ¾" connection (code PM011S) is not equipped with bidirectional
connections thus it has to be installed considering as entrance the side from where three holes are
visible (as in figure).
Any other configuration may lead to the non proper working of the device. Do not over close the
connections. In case of doubt please contact Acqua Brevetti SRL (Tel.: +39.(0)49.8973432 or send
an e-mail info@acquabrevetti.it).
