6. OPERATION
6.1 Setup
Switch the CD-player on via the Power-switch.
When the device is on and the tray has no disc, "NO DISC" appears on the display.
6.2 CD-tray
Press Open/Close-button in order to open the disc tray. The CD-tray opens and the display shows "OPEN".
Insert your CD in the CD-tray. Make sure that you only hold the CD with 2 fingers on the edge. Avoid touching
the inside area of the CD.
CAUTION: Do not close the tray by pushing it as this could harm the construction.
Press the Open/Close-button again in order to close the tray.
6.3 LCD-display
If the CD is improperly positioned,"ERR" or "NO DISC" appears on the display.
If the CD is properly positioned, the player jumps to the first track and immediately starts the playback.
Please note that the player automatically jumps to the section where the music starts.
Beneath "TRACK" the track number is displayed. Beneath M (MIN), S (SEC) the track remain time is
displayed. In the right bottom corner, the FRAME is indicated.
By using the Time/Random-button, the time-indication can be switched from track remain time (Remain) to
track playback time (Elapsed).
Beneath the time-indication, 10 bars are displayed showing the remaining track-time visually. The shorter the
track remain time becomes, the less bars are displayed. 15 seconds before the track-end, the bars in the
display start flashing.
The indication "AUTO" means that the CD-player is in automatic playback mode. By pressing the Auto/Nor-
button, the CD-player is put into Normal-mode and the display shows "NORM".
If the Pich-button is pressed, you can view the current percentage on the display. The indication "0.0" means
that the playback-speed has not been changed. If you adjust the playback-speed via the Pitchfader (Pitch-
button has to be pressed), the respective percentage is indicated in the display.
6.4 Play/Pause
In the Pause-mode the the time-indication in the display stands still and the OUT/EXIT and LOOP IN-LED
flash. The playback of the first track can be started by pressing the Play/Pause button. In the Playback-mode,
the time-indication in the display.
If you wish to interrupt the playback, press the Play/Pause-button and the laser stops at the position where
you stopped.
6.5. Selecting a track
Skip-buttons:
You can select the desired track via the Skip-buttons.
In order to play a track from the beginning, press the Skip-buttons until the desired track number is displayed.
If you hold the respective Skip-button, the CD-player will run through the track numbers until you let the
button loose.
«-button:
If you press the «-button once, playback starts at the beginning of the previous track. If a track is already
played back, you can start the current track from the beginning.
»-button:
If you press the »-button once, the playback starts at the beginning of the next track, if you press it twice the
following track, etc.
Please note that the CD-player calls the track up in the mode you pressed the Skip-button. If the CD-player is
in the Play-mode at track 1 for example and you press the »-button, the player jumps to track 2 and
immediately starts playback.
