Calibrating the high-pres-
sure rail
i
The pressure sensor 1 681 032 095 and the high-
pressure pump 1 687 222 188 are required for
calibration of the high-pressure rail.
8.1
Clamping the high-pressure pump
i
The following additional clamping parts are re-
quired for adaptation of the high-pressure pump
to the flywheel of the EPS: Intermediate flange
1 685 700 140, drive coupling 1 686 401 024,
protective cover 1 685 510 148, protective ring
1 685 510 176.
1. Mount intermediate flange 1 685 700 140 (Fig. 43,
item 4) and drive coupling 1 686 401 024 (Fig. 43,
item 3) to EPS flywheel.
2. Slide protective cover 1 685 510 148 (Fig. 43,
item 6) onto clamping bracket and fasten using
clamping screw onto EPS clamping bracket.
3. Slide protective ring 1 685 510 176 (Fig. 43, item 5)
all way up to protective cover (Fig. 43, item 6).
4. Slide high-pressure pump (Fig. 43, item 1) onto
clamping bracket and attach to drive coupling
(Fig. 43, item 3).
5. Fasten high-pressure pump using two clamping
screws (Fig. 43, item 2) to clamping bracket.

Hydraulically connecting the high-
pressure pump
i
The high-pressure hose 1 680 712 324 for connecting
the high-pressure pump to the high-pressure rail is
part of the CRS 845H test set delivery specification.
!
Note tightening torque.
1. Connect the supply hose (Fig. 45, item 1) to the
high-pressure rail (Fig. 45, item 2).
2. Connect the return hose (Fig. 45, item 3) to the
1
high-pressure rail.
