15 - WARRANTY TERM

The products in the Access Control segment are guaranteed for all pieces, parts and com-
ponents against possible manufacturing defects for a period of 3 (three) months (legal
warranty) plus 9 (nine) months additional warranty, certified by presenting a product vou-
cher by the end user.
In the event of a possible problem with the product, it must be sent to an authorized Nice
Brazil distributor for this product range, and if a manufacturing defect is found, the repair at
Nice Brazil's discretion may include replacing parts or boards with new or refurbished equi-
valent. This product and the replaced parts are warranted for the rest of the original term.
The warranty becomes invalid if any of the following hypotheses occurs:
a) The technical specifications of the product and the recommendations in the Installation
Manual are not observed regarding the conditions of use and the suitability of the installa-
tion site, such as the voltage compatible with the product, the characteristics of use, etc.
b) There is damage caused by accessories or equipment attached to the product that are
not part of the Nice Brazil Group product line.
c) It has been misused, improperly stored, or if the product has undergone aesthetic and/
or functional changes or modifications, as well as repaired by persons or organizations that
have not been accredited by Nice Brazil.
d) When the damage to the product is due to accidents, loss, agents of nature (lightning,
floods, landslides, etc.), moisture, voltage in the power grid (overvoltage due to accidents
or excessive fluctuations in the power grid) influence of chemical or electromagnetic nature
due to the natural wear of parts, pieces and components;
e) When there are failures in the normal operation of the product due to the lack of cleaning
and excess waste, poor conservation, as well as due to the action of animals (insects,
rodents or domestic animals), or even, due to the existence of objects inside, foreign to its
operation and purpose of use
f) Warranty certificate or serial/batch number are streaked or show signs of tampering.
g) The product has been tampered with and/or non-original parts are found.
h) If the purchase invoice for the product is not presented.
i) In the event that the Consumer requests a local service, he should proceed
to the nearest Authorized Service for consultation of the technical visit fee. If it is determined
that the product needs to be removed, the resulting costs, transportation, security to return
of the product are under the consumer's responsibility.
If no manufacturing defect is found as well as failures arising from improper installation or
use, the consumer must bear the costs.
Shipping and packaging of the product are at the risk and expense of the buyer. As the-
se are the terms of this complementary Warranty Term, Nice Brazil reserves the right to
change the general, technical and aesthetic properties of its products without prior notice.
