6. Maintenance

6.1- Knives of the drums

Each drum is equipped with 6 reversible
knives, responsible for cutting the crops.
The good conditions of use of these knives
guarantee better performance of the Head.
Immediately replace worn or damaged
double-sided knives.
ATTENTION!
Turn off the tractor and remove
the ignition key before starting
the following procedure.
6.1.1- Changing or reversing the
drum knives
Remove the 2 bolts (A), washers and nuts

which fix the knife to be replaced;
Replace the knife (B) with a new one,

securing it with the 2 bolts, washers and
nuts (A);
Repeat for all worn or damaged knives.
3.
The knives are reversible, when one side is
worn out, mount it in the another drum,
using its other side.
Replace knives with both sides worn or
damaged immediately.

Reverse the drum knives by
observing excessive wear.
