5.1
Installing the gas detector -
installation without mounting
accessories
The gas detector is installed vertically on a flat surface.
For installation with mounting accessories, see
corresponding assembly instructions.

Install the gas detector:
● Install the gas detector using the drilling template (see
"Drilling template" appendix) and M6 (1/4") hexagon

socket head cap screws.
5.2
Installing the antenna
1. Remove the cover cap from the antenna connector
(Fig. A 3).
2. Screw the antenna into the connector and tighten it by
hand.
5.3
Installing the remote antenna
1. Remove the cover cap from the antenna connector
(Fig. A 3).
2. Screw the antenna cable into the connector and tighten it
by hand.
3. Select an installation location where a perfect signal
transmission is ensured. The antenna must point up
vertically.
4. Attach the mounting bracket at the installation location of
the remote antenna.
5. Lay the antenna cable.
6. Screw the remote antenna in at the end of the antenna
cable and tighten it by hand.

Installing the sensor
If the gas detector is already switched on and an existing
sensor is changed, see "Changing the sensor", page 32.
For specific information, refer to the sensor data sheet.
Prerequisites:
– The gas detector is installed.
Install the sensor:
1. Loosen the set screw (Fig. B 2).
2. Unscrew the bayonet ring (Fig. B 3).
3. Remove the dummy disk.
4. Insert the sensor (Fig. B 4) into the opening so that the
Dräger logo is aligned with the marking on the housing
(Fig. B 5).
5. Secure the sensor with the bayonet ring.
6. Tighten the set screw. Required for installation in Zone 22.
