Important notes
To ensure that you have a record
later on of the different entitle-
ments, we advise noting down the
fingerprints and the people they
belong to in the attached fingerprint
table. Before filling in, make a copy
of the fingerprint table.
4 Draw the finger correctly over
the sensor
• To ensure that the module is able
to recognise your fingerprint, you
need to swipe across the sensor to
allow it to be scanned in. Ensure that
you maintain as constant a speed,
position and light contact pressure
as possible.
• The scan process must be started
within 60 seconds of activation, as
otherwise the FPM 600-... returns to
the operating state.
• Interruptions of more than 60 sec-
onds automatically return the system
to the operating state. (Time out)
Read in fingerprints
General process for reading in a
fingerprint.
Swipe finger across
the sensor.
Right LED (green) flashes for approx.
1 second
Then the left LED (red) lights up.
Swipe finger across
the sensor again.
Right LED (green) flashes for approx.
1 second
Swipe finger across
the sensor again.
Right LED (green) flashes for approx.
3 seconds
Then the left LED (green) lights up.
If an adequate image cannot be
obtained, the right LED (red) flashes
rapidly three times. If this happens,
repeat the process. If an adequate
image cannot be obtained after
three successful scan attempts, the
left LED (red) and right LED (green)
flash simultaneously and rapidly for
approx. 1 second. Then the finger
must be swiped across the sensor
again three times.
The "Scan fingerprint" process can
be repeated up to three times and
must be reinitiated if required.
