d. Advice for use
Griddle cooking guarantees a healthy and varied menu of vegetables, fish and meat. Thanks to its
adjustable thermostat, you can adapt the cooking temperature to the type of dish you want to
prepare.
Light the griddle and leave it to warm up for a few minutes at maximum power (the hot plate must
be very hot), then turn down to a lower power level before putting the food items on the griddle and
set the temperature according to the type of dish being prepared.
The griddle allows you to set the cooking temperature manually.
The temperature for each hot plate can be chosen separately in order to best suit each type of food
item.
• Having installed the hot plates, select the temperature for each hot plate using the left and right-
hand thermostats. The thermostat indicator will turn red.
• When the appliance has reached the selected temperatures, the indicator lights will stop blinking
and the red light will stay lit.
• Place the food items on the hot plates.
Note: When the cold food items are placed on the appliance, the temperature of the hot plates
might drop momentarily below the selected temperature. If this happens, the indicator lights of the
thermostats concerned will flash red. The flashing will stop when the chosen temperature is reached
again.
Note: Do not touch the anti-splash guard during cooking since it can heat up to high temperatures.
• You can change the temperature of each of the plates during cooking if necessary.
Note: There might be a slight odour or a little smoke when you use the appliance for the first time.
e. Drip tray
The base of the appliance is fitted with a drip tray on its front side.
• Slide the drip tray into the base.
• The juice from cooking will drip from the hot plates into the collection tray.
• Wait until the griddle has cooled down before emptying the drip tray.
• The tray can be washed in the dishwasher.
f. Turning the appliance off
• After use, turn the thermostats to the 'OFF' position and unplug the device.
