4. Operation
4. Click the Battery Setup icon and select the configuration to be changed/saved. Click the Back icon to return to the
previous window, or click the Home Page icon to jump to the main page.
Note: The UPS configuration for the battery cabinet model depends on the S3M UPS model and battery cabinet model being connected
together. Please refer to the S3M-Series battery cabinet manual for specific UPS configuration instructions.
Battery Group: The Battery Group is quantity 1 for every set of 20 batteries that are within the UPS and/or the battery
cabinet connected to the UPS. For example, UPS model S3M20K3B with 60 internal batteries would be set to Battery
Group 3. However, to connect a BP240V09 cabinet with 80 internal batteries to the S3M20K3B, the S3M20K3B UPS
must be configured to Battery Group 7. The value can be 1 to 8. The default value is 1.
Battery number: The default value is 20. The battery number must remain at 20 for all S3M10-100K UPS models
whether used with or without Tripp Lite external battery cabinets designed for the S3M-Series UPS line.
Single Battery (Ah) Capability: Modify the value to the individual Ah capacity for one battery. The value can be 7 to
2000. If the 10-20kVA UPS model has internal batteries, this value should only be 9, because the 10-20kVA UPS only fits
9Ah internal batteries. However, if the 10-20kVA UPS models have the suffix "-NIB" (No Internal Batteries)," the number
could be 9 (9Ah) to 65 (65Ah), when using Tripp Lite battery cabinet models.
