TYPES OF INSTALLATION
We offer the following 5 basic types of installation with 4 or 6
boilers:
– Heating only . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (I1)
– Heating with a combined boiler . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (I2)
– Heating with external boiler and zone valves . . . . . . . . . . . . (I3)
– Heating with external boiler and zone pumps . . . . . . . . . . . (I4)
– Heating with external boiler and 4 zones controlled by
a mixing valve, a pump and a floor installation . . . . . . . . . . . (I5)
Below you will find the hydraulic diagram, the wiring diagram and a
configuration parameter table for each of these types. The table
shows the parameters to be modified as compared to the default
values. The complete list of parameters that is given in the Appendix
allows you to reset the starting parameters in the case some para-
meters are changed by mistake. Once you have chosen the type of
installation, you only need to insert the parameters of the correspon-
ding table in the regulator and to carry out the tests on the inputs and
outputs, thus making sure all the connected parts have been correctly
identified (recommended).

PRELIMINARY ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
The wiring diagram of each of the installations shows the connections
to be made between the "RVA 47.320" regulator and the boiler
card. At most 4 boiler boards may be connected to the MASTER regu-
lator, while at most 3 boiler boards may be connected to the SLAVE
regulator.
We are now going to describe a few preliminary configuration opera-
tions, which are common to all the presented installations:
– Boiler identification: each boiler must be numbered, so as to be detec-
ted by the regulator. Insert the configuration resistors in the connec-
tion foreseen for the external feeler, according to the following table.

R3 = 604 Ohm ± 0. 1 %
R2 = 562 Ohm ± 0. 1 %
R1 = 536 Ohm ± 0. 1 %
– "Albatros" jumper:
On the boiler card there is a jumper called "ALBATROS"", which
has to be inserted for the boiler to be connected to the regulator.

– Maximum capacity setting:
In order to get maximum heating capacity of each boiler of the
cascade, you need to turn the setting trimmer clockwise till the
end. In all the boilers of the cascade, the said trimmer (Trimmer
B) is located underneath the setting knob for the heating tem-
perature.
– Ignition switch on REMOTE:
The boiler ignition switch must be set on REMOTE to enable remo-
te control of boilers through the "RVA 47.320" regulator.
In this mode, the settings of the "Heating" and "Sanitary" knobs
are of no importance.
– Boiler-regulator connection:
The "RVA 47.320" regulator must be connected to every boiler with
the bipolar cable. The latter must be plugged into the Comando
Remoto (CR) (remote control) connection according to the polarities,
as shown in illustration n° 4.
The connection between the possible "ALBATROS" units is carried
out by means of a BUS (LPB), which is different from the one used
for connecting the boiler cards (PPS)
