Preface

Read this manual carefully before installation, use and service of this product.
Replace the manual immediately if lost. Nederman reserves the right, without
previous notice, to modify and improve its products including documentation.
This product is designed to meet the requirements of relevant EC directives.
To maintain this status, all installation, maintenance and repair is to be done
by qualified personnel using only original spare parts. Contact the nearest
authorized distributor or Nederman for advice on technical service and
obtaining spare parts. If there are any damaged or missing parts when the
product is delivered, notify the carrier and the local Nederman representative
immediately.

Description

2.1

Applications

See figure 1. Check max. working pressure (MPa) on the type label of the reel.
Ambient temperature: -10 °C - +60 °C.

Installation

3.1

Mounting instruction

See figures 2–3. The reel can be wall-, floor- or ceiling mounted according to
the pictures. Maximum installation height above floor level is 4 m. Select a
level surface on which to mount the reel and use the template on the side of the
packing to mark the holes. Ensure that suitable fixing bolts are used and that
they are secure. The bolts must stand a torque force of minimum 3800 N.
When choosing mounting place it should be notified that the lifetime of the
hose reel can be reduced by the influence of chemicals and strong UV- or heat
radiation.
3.1.1

Hose outlet

See figure 4, A–E. The hose outlet can be fitted in different positions. Choose
the position where the hose is bent as little as possible in relation to the
working position.
3.1.2

Connection to the pipework system

See figure 5. The reel must be connected to the pipework system with hose
only, minimum 1.0 m. The inlet hose should go through the ring* fitted on the
tubular stand. Check that the hose is not twisted or strained after connection. A
stop valve should be fitted on the pipe system before the hose connection.
3.2

Ratchet mechanism

See figure 6. The hose reel is delivered with a ratchet mechanism which retains
the hose in the required outdrawn position. The ratchet will disengage if the
hose is drawn out a little further and the hose then recoils to the drum. It should
